How long does an allergic reaction that causes difficulty in breathing generally continue to cause breathing troubles before it lets up?

How long should you take a medication (makes you vomit) before you know if the vomiting is just a side effect or an allergic reaction??When should you stop taking it??
How many days should you continue to take a ned that makes you vomit???

See, my friend is staying over at my house for like a week, but she’s allergic to cats and we have one.

We already vacumned my room, and like most of the rooms really well… And our cat doesn’t sleep on the beds…

My friend will also be bringing allergy medicine and an inhaler.

Is there any thing else we can do to prevent the allergy reaction?
It’d be bad if she got like her allergy reaction because the rest of her family lives like 3 states away…

What is it with our bodies that some have allergic reactions to certain things and others don’t?

I have asked an M.D. this very question and that person has told me that certain people just have allergies. However, I would like to know WHY the allergy is formed. As in, what happens with the cell reaction or the chemical reaction to create an allergic reaction to a certain substance. [Some substances may be eggs (flu vaccine), fish, shellfish, eggplant, etc.]

Only serious answers please. No “just because”; that is not a sufficient answer. Thank you for your time.

Are allergic reactions to vicodin and percocet common and is there anyway to know?

Is there such a thing as having a allergic reaction to an oxygen mask used during surgery? Ever since my surgery 3 days ago my throat and inside top of my mouth burns and is red.

It is common on my mothers side to be allergic to cold but the reaction is exterior. Could I have the same thing only occurring in the interior of my body? Also, I go to a rheumatologist for the inflammation of my joints and have been undiagnosed for several years.

I have been using a new detergent for about 2 months now and I have encountered a terrible allergic reaction. Not only have I , but also my best friend as well. Tiny little red itchy bumps in random places that feel like they are on fire. Mainly these bumps occur on the knees, arms,legs,feet, or elbows. It is not rash-like, but red tiny bumps without whiteheads. I actually conducted a small experiment with placeing a small amout on the back of my hand and sure enough, a bump appeared. . I am currently washing all my clothes with another hypoallergenic detergent. Since I have worn other articles of clothing, not washed in Tide with febrese, small bumps are vanishing and I feel happy. But, this product should be removed from stores…..honestly, I wish I could speak with Tide and have them please consider recalling this product.

Also, is there any medicine you should take to stop the allergic reaction?

Yes, I know you should go to the doctor. And no, I’m not allergic I just want to know….

I’m not talking about the common reaction of an itchy bump, even if it gets quite large. What I am talking about is analyphalaxis, hives, or digestive upset. My cousin used to be allergic to mosquito bites. They made her vomit.
