Best way to relieve itchy eyes?

I suffer from TERRIBLE allergies.
Bad news–i have contacts, so i cant use eyedrops.

Besides eyedrops, what is the best way to relieve itchy eyes?
And as a sidenote: I am already on medication–I need something more than this pill I take everyday.

    drink lots of water. i know it sounds dumb, but seriously, you need the moisture. i used to have extremely itchy eyes, then i started working out, and drinking that extra bottle of water a day helped my eyes miraculously!
